Big chunk laying out in the yard. Pretty thick, picture does't show. But is this wascoite?

I had to look that one up. My first instinct was no, it's not but then looking at more pictures it very well could be It’s got that weird white opal matrix on it. There is some pattern on it that looks like Biggs too with some dendrites. I haven’t been around a lot of wascoite to really identify it if I saw it. So I’m hoping someone here can confirm what it is.

When was China hollow discovered? Fairly recent from my understanding. If that’s the case, I don’t think it’s China hollow as this would’ve been obtained far before the China hollow discovery. You can’t see in the pic, but it’s got transparency to it. More like an agate if you will. It’s hot opalization to it as well. I’ve seen China hollow in person and when you have it in hand, it doesn’t look like what I’ve seen. However I could be wrong.

There's an agate seam a little up (down?) the valley from the jasper at China Hollow and that definitely resembles the stuff on the left side away from the red opal part. I have a scar on my left thumb from there that reminds me that gloves are good when using a hammer around agate, but while Don(?) was finding a bandage the rock Elizabeth noticed by his truck ended up making my most favorite sphere. If we find the box it's in while we're sorting for the E Oregon shows I'll get a pic, it's also in a thread somewhere I'm pretty sure. It was from the center area of the seam where the red was mixing in with the wascoite. There seem to be quite a few wascoite agate seams in that area, and a lot of similarities, so really hard to say.

But yeah. for sure I would call it Wascoite. Went out to the yard and in the same area found this chunk. This is more of the same stuff, that has more of the wascoite look i've seen online. When you're in town, if you want a slab, i'll hook it up lol.
