...or what ever sound a tiger makes. Here's some tigers eye I've been playing around with. I've been saving this for a long time and finally cut it. I've had issues with undercutting in the past so this was shaped on the wheels and then tumble polished. I gave up trying to get a realistic picture of it so enjoy! 🐅

Stunning cabs! I have always been a fan of Hawk's Eye/Tiger's Eye Thanks! I really wanted to capture the little flame whisps of the yellow going through the blue.

I mean you just had to know this was coming at some point!!! LOL I've had the SAME issues with it undercutting...or more like "shredding" when working some Tiger Eye on the wheels. I had some Red Tiger Eye that completely shredded...as in the fibers just let loose. I've had it do it with the Blue Tiger Eye to a point...but not as bad as that red.

Those are really nice.
The reflections had me thinking that you cut some concave grooves in the face of the cabs.
But of course not, it's the reflections.
Obviously your method got a good polish .
I might need to dig out some tiger eye & try some myself.

When I was shaping these, I did notice a little shredding. Haven't had that issue with other chunks I've cut. This was a single slab I had bought from a rock show before I was "in to rocks". Now I'm up to my neck.

Thanks! Yeah I had done some tigers eye in the past but just never got the polish I wanted on it. Not sure if it was from the fiber or undercutting or my poor technique or what. So I tossed it in the lot-o and it turned out great. Went straight from shaping to the tumbler this time.

Thanks Alex, I guess I'll have to experience it the hard way, as I don't have a vibe. Looks like you'll have some nice jewelry coming up.
