We started with a Harbor Freight tumbler and I really didn't like the plastic tabs, so I 3d printed a couple ball-bearing roller guides. They work great. But since the HF liked to eat belts*, we got a Thumbler A-R2. When we first fired it up, it really wanted to scrape against the motor side's guide. This page said that it was normal and would wear away until it was "minimal". I was not satisfied with that, so I designed and printed couple more ball-bearing guides. Oh, and I 3D printed some little rubber feet out of flexible TPU too (though they don't do much for the motor vibration...) If there's any interest, I can throw up the designs on Printables or something. *I got the HF tumbler back up and running, with the help from a mod I found on E-bay to replace the bearings with ball bearings. I also replaced the large pully since the one it came with was very wobbly (mfgr defect). [/a]

Great improvements you did for your machines. There are a lot of videos on you tube on the harbor freight tumblers, one of which is the installation of bearings for the shafts. I opted to use bronze bushings. Used shower door rollers to replace the plastic tabs.
