The offset nylon washer at the end of the housing is worn out. It rubs and creates a squeaky squeal. It does not have a screw where I can easily remove it. How do I get it out and how do I replace it? in the parts list, it is a 33B Lortone, double barrel, part number B4 89–094. I have read where I can get a nylon washer, but how do I get that non-screw out of the hole to replace the washer?

Hey there, I'm a 33b owner as well. To get the washer off, you will need to drill it out of the frame. I have mine propped so the barrels slide to the opposite side with the removable washer, which could be a fix without any investment. Hope this helps. -Nicholas

The above response is not correct if I'm understanding your question. I think you're referring to the circlip, which can be removed like this:
And yes, do cover it, because they do like to fly! I'd also caution you to be very gentle with it. While they're cheap and easy to find replacements for, it's a pain to have to drive to the hardware store for a $0.10 part because you weakened the metal or broke it.
That said, I don't think it's the circlip which is producing your squeak. I'd try replacing the white bushings first. It's not the most robust design, and Lortone charges a ridiculous shipping charge for their replacement. There's a conversation here about other options if you're interested in experimenting a bit.
*edit* I'm seeing after the latest comment that my assessment is completely incorrect! I'll leave it for posterity just in case I've managed to get something right.

Are you talking the guide, so the barrels don't touch the edge of the frame? Like the fore front of this picture?

It is riveted in, you can drill it out and re-rivet or put a screw in the hole. Or you can just mount a regular bearing on that end and the bearing will roll instead of wear out.

Tony Tony catmandeweWhere would I get a bearing that you are talking about? The washer has been drilled out long ago on my VERY old QT66. I currently have a pop top screwed in there to keep it off the side of the machine. Working well but would rather have something that should be there. Thank you in advance. Kelly P.S. Just started the pink opal I bought from you. Makes my water smell bad but it is sure turning out pretty.

Just started the pink opal I bought from you. Makes my water smell bad but it is sure turning out pretty. When I am replacing bushings with bearings in my other hobby, RC cars, I measure the outside diameter of the bushing, the inside diameter, and also the width. Then, when you look at bearings, keep in mind that bearings are measured by the inside diameter first, then the outside diameter and then the width. So a 5x15x4 bearing is 5 mm inside diameter, 15 mm outside and 4 mm thick. Amazon has tons of bearings by the way. You can also Google Jim’s bearings and go to their website. Replacing a nylon washer with a bearing will be easy, you will still measure the outside and the inside diameter, but the width won’t match since bearings are at least several millimeters thick while nylon washers are 1-2mm or so (maybe in your application their thicker, I don’t know). In this case you should just need a longer screw to attach the bearing to the frame to compensate for the thicker bearing. Also use a washer, that matches the inside diameter, above and below the bearing to allow it to free spin underneath the screw head. Lastly, why does a pink opal make water smell bad?

Most hardware stores have a few bearings in stock, pick out a small one and find a bolt that fits in the center of it, drill a hole for the bolt so that the edge of the bearing will be the right distance into the tumbler. Bolt it on and viola! you are good to go.
Tony
PS- sometimes you will need to put a little washer or spacer underneath the bearing to keep it from rubbing on the frame. It all depends on the bearing you pick out.
