I didn't really buy a Mack Truck, although that might have been a lot of fun, I think.
Especially blowing the air horn But,I read somewhere that someone called the Thumblers Model B, the Mack Truck of tumblers !
And I did buy a Model B .
Although tumbling is not my main focus, I love to get nice equipment of any kind , for a good deal.
And so I found this tumbler on FBM for a good price, actually with shipping about 1/2 the new price, without shipping.
It is like new. I think maybe it was might have been used once with a partial load- and I can only tell that by the amount of grit missing from the extra grit that I got with it.
It came with a couple lbs of grit, & even 3 lbs of ceramic media & some SS shot, & a couple of nice looking chunks of amethyst.
So I'm really happy, even if I didn't get a truck with a cool bulldog on the hood.
Thanks for looking,
Patty

That's a beautiful truck and a beautiful tumbler! You're going to have a lot of fun with that tumbler, and I look forward to seeing the results!

Thank you hplcman, but I am still wishing for the air horns. Maybe I could get Tom to install some so I can blow them on clean out day

Im kinda curious what the SS shot would be used for when tumbling rocks. Anyone care to elaborate??
I know its used for tumbling brass for reloading ammo since thats what I used to use my model B for. But I havent a clue if its useful for rock tumbling.

Awesome find Patty! They are great tumblers! Thanks Ashley- I'm longing forward to getting it rolling ! Im kinda curious what the SS shot would be used for when tumbling rocks. Anyone care to elaborate?? I know its used for tumbling brass for reloading ammo since thats what I used to use my model B for. But I havent a clue if its useful for rock tumbling. You are absolutely right the SS shot has nothing to do with rocks, but it was a freebee thrown in. I use SS shot in my Thumblers AR-1 for metal (wire wrapping or de-burring copper) so it won't go to waste. So for me it was a bonus I hadn't expected.
