Viewer discretion advised. I rarely read the viewer comments that are part of the You Tube Experience but I did take a look at the ones with that video and several were quite helpful and then there were the comments about the plumber !

I have a small plastic dish tub that I put kitty litter in. I dump the rocks from the barrel into a strainer that I hold over the tub of kitty litter. All the water and grit solidifies in the kitty litter. Then I just scoop out the clumps, dump them in an old bag and toss in the garbage.

I use a 5 gallon bucket to get them mostly clean then finish cleaning in the sink and let the bucket sit until it is mostly full, then a mad dash in the cold and snow to the woodline and dump it all quickly. It does kill the grass so don't dump it where you want to keep grass. I wish it would kill the grass where I dump it. I pour out any slurry from my machines around my firepit where I also toss any scrap rocks. The grass there doesnt seem to care and grows right up through all of it. Maybe Im not dumping enough out and need to step up my game and tumble, cab, lap more things to keep up with trying to kill the grass?

Unless you are using Borax in all the SiC slurry the grass will most likely not be affected. Occasionally I put non-borax SiC slurry in my garden or on the lawn with no ill-effects, it is after all mostly Silica with a few trace elements. I don't put any Aluminum Oxide slurry on plants or the grass as that can be harmful.

I actually have vegetation starting up under my deck so that should be good use of my use borax solution. Also seems safer than trying to use roundup.
