I have 2 2lb tumblers, a Lortone 3lb, and bought a QT66 the end of July. Some then, I've gotten really backed up on rocks ready for stage 2.
What's the general thought on starting a 6lb batch on the QT66 for stage 2 - polish? Anyone have good success finishing in a barrel that size?

People tumble in 15 or 17 pound tumblers all the time...as well as in 6 pound barrels. You'll be just fine doing it that way!

You should be good to go. Nice job saving up that much for stage two.

You can definitely polish in the QT66, make sure you have a lot of smalls/ceramics/plastics (whatever you prefer). I always get the tumbler about 80% full in the polish stage and I let it run for 2 weeks. This ensures a gentle tumble with the thinner polish slurry.
