Here is my new 18" Highland Park. Or so I was told. I got a little excited when I purchased this off of a local on Facebook Marketplace. I spend too much time inspecting it as the price was great and supposedly another buyer was ready to pay if I didn't want it. I can't find any markings on this to tell what brand it is. Also, after measuring the current blade only measures 16 inches! Have I been had? The build quality looks great so I am going to make it work either way.

Looks good. Does it run and how much you pay?

Looks good. Does it run and how much you pay? $750. Seems to run just fine. I posted earlier about an issue with the auto feed but it seems to be an easy fix.

This is my first saw. Does this blade have any life left? One side is painted gold, labeled Felker. I'm waiting on some oil in the mail to get my first cut started!

That blade has a lot of side wear, there may be some alignment issue that will cause ripples in your cuts. Do something to straighten it out or buy a new blade.

It's a Jenkins "royal" saw.
Check the bearing carrier, make sure it's tight to the arbor

The current 16" blade has barely more than an inch of clearance from the back housing. I'm not sure how close you are supposed to get.

Might fit an 18", looks like an 18" model 2 based on the bearing carrier

It's alive! Thanks for all the helpful information. It seems to be cutting great with the current blade. Feed rate seems slow but maybe I'm just impatient. It's cutting about 1" every 8 minutes.
