I purchased a Highland Park 4.5 lb Rotary Tumbler which seems to be working well. I got no information with the product- re: lubrication, perhaps how much grit to use, etc. I wrote the company and did not hear back. Does anyone here know if there is a pdf available that maybe should have been in the box? Like I said, it is working well but I do have questions.

I purchased a twin 3lb barrel HP tumbler last October, which also came with no instructions/manual.
After about 3 months of operation, the bearings had disintegrated, the machine stopped working. This even though I did put some oil to them, literally guessing they would need some. I made multiple inquiries to HP regarding instructions/manual, to which they replied they would have one online soon. It’s now approaching 10 months….and counting. And still, nothing from HP.
I have an open “ticket” with them over the tumbler. They offered to send some new bearings. I’m not thinking I want to bother having to fix it after every batch or maybe 2 of rock.
The man who owns the company really needs to stop taking more on, stop trying to grow, and start making right what they’re already producing. Seems like there are significant numbers of new owners of HP machinery who are not entirely happy with their overall experiences. Many of them have spent far more than I did for the tumbler.

I was advised a long time ago that modern Nylon bushings are generally self-lubricating and putting grease in them could catch dust and grit that may cause premature failure.
