I am assuming this isn't an easy place to get down to?

Love the plumes and bright colors but the dark one with the ribbon one is my favorite too. I love that pattern that seems to defy logic. One time up at upper Stony Creek I almost killed myself humping 50 lb boulder up a steep wet dirt path through the trees because when I pulled it out of the water it had a similar interesting pattern. It turned out to be total crap when I cut it but at least I scratched the itch and don't have to wonder about it I wonder how many rockhounds have croaked trying to hump that "killer find" back home. Thoughts I have as I head into the woods at 54 y.o.

He may still have some of the "Pacific Plume". If you have time I could show you where I collect it.

I am assuming this isn't an easy place to get down to? No, It's not easy at all. It's only accessible during low tide and even then you need to be in good shape with some rock climbing skills to sneak your way in. Several years ago I had been hounding there every day. One day there was a big storm and I took the day off. A couple of local fishermen went out at that location and got swept of the rocks and drowned. RIP. Here's a Google Earth pic of the shoreline in that area. The water level is too high to get in there at the time of this picture. The yellow circle is where I took the last picture I posted in this thread.

When I head over, I’ll message you a few days I advance. Then if you want to meet up at the shop, we can line that out.

Time is the essence in places like that

You have to be there the moment tide starts to go out. If you wait, you way as well turn around. Time is the essence in places like that I like to start at high tide then spend the next 6 hours following the tide out. Every wave produces new material. I've been swamped several times trying to do the 20 yard dash between sets of waves. Here's a few videos showing some wave action. My camera didn't survive the first vid from 2018. I love the sound of rocks tumbling in the surf
