This stuff did not tumble super well. Was constantly breaking apart, even when using a lot of media. Pyrite is a sulfide mineral and the sulfur smell is very prominent when doing the cleanouts. The slurry is also black and a little greasy and will stain anything it touches. The last picture is the slurry at the end of the polish run. Very different looking than normal.

I tumbled it specifically so my kids could have some gold nuggets. They like to play with kinetic sand in a tray on the kitchen table and they already like burying small rocks as treasure for their Lego figures and things to find.
