That's a lot of rock to look through! It will keep you busy all day. Following the tide out, wave after wave produces fresh material. It would be interesting to trace my footsteps as I meander down the beach Walking in circles and dodging waves...

Wow! That looks like a lot of people rock hounding out there! Is that typical? Yes, that is typical during the Winter rock season. Sometimes there's a lot more rocks and people hunting for agates, jasper and fossils. Right now that beach is sanded in until the next round of Winter storms start moving sand again. In the first pic with all the people, those dark objects in the surf are ancient tree stumps that are several thousand years old.
