I have been in a funk and can't wrap my brain around a wrap. I WANT to do one- just having a hard time deciding where to start. SOOOO, at Patty's liveoak suggestion, I am asking y'all to give me a hand with this poll. I'll let it run a week. YOU choose which one I should wrap. I'll be going out of town the first. This will give me a week to get a wrap done.... if I can. LOL! 1 Native dendritic silver (Canada) 2 Regency plume doublet 3 Luna (very thin) 4 Kokoweef cave onyx 5 Azurite Malachite (Africa) Much nicer than the picture. Long and thin. 6 OJ 7 Ruby in Fuchsite 8 Sodalite (Interesting pattern for the material!) I didn't cab all of these. They each have their pros and cons.
THANK YOU!

This is backed by fake turquoise. I didn't do it. A guy I buy cabs from (yes, I buy cabs I like still) does a lot of doublets. I don't actually care for doublets much, but this one was too nice to pass on.

Wow they are all gorgeous. My favorites are #2 and #7 and I think #5 and #6 could benefit more from being wrapped.

No, Greg Graupp of Greg's Cabochons on etsy did. I think he is a member here, too, though he seldom is here.

Interesting when I saw #4 I also thought of the cabochons Jason made with very similar shapes.

Looks like nobody picked #3. That would be my choice and might be more about knowing your wraps then is about the stone. I feel like you would do something pretty cool with that shape. The cab is nice too though. Purple/lavender not real common in stones.

I think he got the template from me, though. I'm not crazy about it.
