Hello, I live in the central Arkansas area, and I work as a landscaper. Been doing it for about 4 years now and always had a keen interest in rocks, mostly arrow heads in the beginning. But, one day at the shop where we load up for mulch, dirt, river gravel, etc., at the bottom of my peripheral, the biggest agate I’ve ever found grabbed my attention; it was sitting halfway in the ground, no telling how many times we’ve driven over it. Then that’s where it all started. That was like maybe 10 months ago, and now I own a simple rock tumbler, a 5” hi-tech trim saw, a 10” hi-tech slab saw, and an 8” hi-tech flat lap. I got a countless number of rocks I would like help with exactly identifying because, as you know, the rock identifier app is useless. Every time I use it, it’s pretty much just "yeah, this rock is a rock." So all my knowledge comes from internet research, which I’ve done quite a bit of.

I love hearing how the "slightest" thing can grab us and throw us violently down the rabbit hole! LOL Once you get Cloudinary set up, don't be shy about posting pics looking for help on the IDs. There's a lot of members with a lot of knowledge...and they're willing to help ya out! *You can also post pics via Tapatalk on your phone...
