John
That looks like it has some good potential. If you collect more than you need remember your friends in Mississippi.
Merry Christmas and have a Blessed New Year.

NICE find, Sands! That will make some beautimus cabojohns!
I am so glad to see that you are putting up a website to show off your beautiful cabojohns! Sands of Time - what a cool name!
I've not been doing any tumbling lately. Keep telling myself I should auction off all my stuff on eBay, but then I talk myself out of it. Never know when I will get the urge to tumble and then be mad at myself for selling it all. So, now it just takes up space - something I don't have much of. I'm sure you can relate to that! Every inch of space my RV is taken up by this or that craft project I'm working on!

Sands, That's a great looking rock...I'm sure it will cab up very nicely. I'm glad you were able to get out and about, and some of the directions in those books are very hard to find. Usually too many roads and trying to pick out which one to follow, is really luck. I've been on many wild goose chases trying to pin point a location. At least it's not snowing and your having fun. Great lookin' rock, Sands. Just remember, when you're out in the desert, if you see somethin' that looks like Gila monster jasper, poke it with a stick first! (It looks kinda like one of Mel's poppy jaspers.)

Great find Sands! I used to use gem trail books and I can't believe how little material is usually found at most those sites ( if you can find them at all, some of the maps are pretty bad in my view). The books do function as a guide to get you into the good general areas though and then a little wandering aboot with usually net good finds.....mel

Good eye you have, not only for cabbing but for rock hunting either.
