OK, OK...
By popular demand, the place I found that load was the Lucas Creek area. James hit the nail on head, and I clammed up tight to exploit the find...
I pounded on it pretty hard over the last couple of years, strictly scouring the creek beds (wherever I could get at it and not get shot at...) This area has banjo music coming out of every tree stump, but it is very nice in the fall when the water drops. The rains we've had this winter will surely kick loose some good picken's for those so inclined to hunt...
As you can see from "Valhala in OR" post in Venders Section, I've graduated to buying in bulk.
This haul really triggered the rock disease, and carnelian is still my first love. It's the coolest thing to find one's own stone, eh?

I think Jim has the record for carnelian finds in one's own back yard...LOL he's brought so much in to work I just say "Yep Carnelian...got anything else?"

Trylobyte, Awsome Find! That's exactly the same stuff I have been pulling out of my yard(I'm Jim). I bought a house, and the people who lived there before me must have had the same hunting ground. I have a million questions that don't have to do with location more identification. I think I have a good idea where, I was thinking of trying to contact the previous owners to find their spot for a while but I think I have it narrowed down.

Spaceman...you're in the thick of this stuff. I've wandered all over your turf down there, mainly the Skookumchuck and Nisqually, but anywhere else that I could get into a creekbed, but Lucas Creek was the only place where I could pull bucketloads out.
There's lots more out there, but watch out for the banjo players...some o' them boys don't get along with folks who ain't their kinfolk...

Trylobyte, Yeah I went to a shooting range today ( there was no one there ) and found some cool stuff there too. This seems like to only logical place for where the you pay mine could have been. Johnson creek runs through the area and I found some quartz crystals on a rock shimmering in the sun and water. If you need a partner that can get down in the trenches with you to help defend against those lyons then let me know. I have a machete , I think we could give them a good fight before we became lunch. Bad Kitty! Peace, SSSSpaceman SSSpliff

Hey, we can all get our camo and flannel on and go storm the place? LMAO. I'd be up fer that Would have to get camo though... flannel i have in abundance, but no camo. Hmm, they might mistake me for a sasquatch down there too... might be fun at least. And if there is carnelian to be had, well, we'll just have to find someone to distract the banjo players... maybe a harmonica or a squeeze box? Hehehehee...

Sounds like a Pacific North West closet flannel in abundance. I'm headed down there tomorrow if I can drag my butt out of bed early enough. If I'm late XenasWolf tell the rescue party I'm at Lucas Creek . Nah if I wake up too late I won't go till Monday, it's only like 20 miles from my house. Peace, SSSSpaceman SSSpliff

No I work tomorrow and have Sunday Monday and Tuesdays off but I'll be here Tuesday too for our resident genious. I had to look though since they have switched me around so much lately.

Maybe we should just bash his head in with our rocks and be done with it. Didn't you say you could use some OT? I know I can LOL

With 50 hours last week and 50 hours next week, what the hell I'm already there around half of my life any way what's another half . But I think if we bash him with the soft rocks he may get smarter. EDIT: The 50 hours a week does not include the 10 hours a week in commuting, where 10 hour days become 12 hour days. Peace, SSSSpaceman SSSpliff
