My son is in school down in Orlando and comes home now and again and he was interested in my new found addiction, so I told him what was what and I volunteered him to do a little searching in his new area for his dear old dad. Anyone familiar with rock hunting in and around Orlando? I'm really trying to get him to get out of his apartment and school area since that's all he really knows and when his mother and I go down to visit it would be nice to have a few places to hike and look for stones as we do. Any and all help greatly appreciated.

I can't believe that there isn't anyone from Orlando that is who doesn't like to rock hunt?! Come on folks! There are what, 500 lakes or something inside the city limits! There have got to be some places to hunt. With 1000 members hasn't anyone gone down there and found something interesting?I guess I'm going to have to go down there and visit my son and drag him around....um...I don't drive any more....the morphine you know, HE'll do the dragging around but with me pointing! And maybe just maybe we'll find a really nice place for hunting! And after we've picked the area clean we'll post the location here!! Hmmmm must be the drugs kicking in! Please anyone from the Blue Hair state Please chime in. Isn't there one soul in our midst that has hunted in and around Orlando?

Thanks, I've got them on my list of folks to write to if no one here out of 1000 + people could help. They've got a pretty nice web site too. Very active club! Great pics! Y'all should check them out and sign up for their news letter.
