I'm in Denver, CO this week and will not be able to do any rock hunting...very disappointing. Stuck in a clasroom for the duration of the stay. I'll have a couple of hours this evening after class and I'm hoping that someone can tell me if there's a rock shop I can visit...

Dan, Rockman69 (Ebay Seller) is located in Castle Rock, CO, which I believe is located south of Denver. Not a retail store, but a big shop (2,500 sq ft). If I was home, I could pull his email with his phone number. From the rocks Rockman lists on Ebay, I bet his shop is packed with rocks!

OK, not a rock shop but i do know a place you might want to visit they sell many fossils and related artworks. I have no idea of the name or the location but i can get you there if you hang with me a minute.
if you are in downtown denver there is a westin hotel right along the "trolley" car route. right across the trolley car route from the westin is an outdoor shopping mall if you walk around in there you will find the fossil shop and also there are several artisan/jewelers in that mall that work with turquoise.
if you cannot find the westin then look for the ESPN sportsworld, sportszone, sportsbar or whatever it is which is on the corner of that block as well.
good luck, and if you don't find the place then go hit up some of the beer bars down by the baseball park. there are several good ones.
cheers jerry
