Its 2005 now over here.
I'd like to post a THANKS to every single conversationalist on here for the great reading I did over 2004.
Ive learned so much..... from the depths of cold areas of the US to the searing hot desert regions.
Ive learned about friendships both local and afar.
I think we can all tumble rocks - but the actual ****detail**** of the hobby has only come to light here - in particular - with photos.
On we go.
Happy new year guys. Andy

Hello Andy,
A SPECIAL THANKS TO YOU!
If it were not for you developing this board ... most of us would have never come to know one another, be able to share tricks of the hobby, help others and get to know new friends.
So thank you and may you have the finest New Year you could ever imagine.
I have not forgot about the plume agates ... I have just been so cotton picking busy ... I have not had time to go through everything I need to go through.
Sincerely,
John

gosh this time last year i was putting up "newbie with questions" posts. lots of questions i might add. without you creating this wonderful board andy i would never have spent this much money in a year lol.....or learned so much about such a wonderful hobby with the nicest folks. so glad to have found you all! happy new year and eat plenty of black-eyed peas tomorrow so you can have lots of money to spend on rocks in the new year. my husband says we are suppose to eat cabbage too for something - does he just want some cabbage or is there really a reason for this?

Have to thank you for this great board. I might not be much in the "conversationalist" area, but since I found it early this last summer I have to get my daily fix. (especially daily picture fix I have a feeling I would have threw up my hands in fustration early in this hobby If it weren't for all the info here. Thanks for cementing this rock adiction. Even a darn walk to the mailbox across the drive way gravel has changed this year. Let a lone driving some where and noticeing gravel pits I never noticed before. Happy New Year's everyone.

Happy New Year to you to Andy! thanks for this great place to meet, talk, learn, show off our rocks, laugh, cry, and rant! You have given us the opportunity and means to join hearts in friendship with folks across the miles that we otherwise would not have had the priviledge of knowing. I know of no better way to start the new year that with a bunch of new friends!
That Happy New Year extends to all, of course! I am thankful I found this place and all of you! It's been a joy!

I thought we were the only ones who celebrate New Year. I was wondering how the adjustment of the calender worked with us moving up one year, the the rest of the world stuck back then. Cool.

Andy, what a better way to kick off the new year! I love it. We have some geeks here who have come up with a 13 month calendar with the 13th month one week to compensate for leap year. It appears, the contemporary calendar is off by six years, four months. They want to force all the countries to adopt this calendar by using the world bank to call in their debts and force the countries to comply or face takeover. Let us think freely! Take the streets!

Sleep, Andy, and be kind to all. It doesn't matter what fate holds for us. Just embrase the light and it will be OK.
