Follow directions to soldering rope chain, with the difference of using a single blade razor blade. The center cut out allows the heat to affect the soldered shot, the remainder of the blade shields the unaffected rope from heat.
Hollow rope chain will disappear from heat. Using this shielding method allows for a finer repair.
