fascinating site, Kim, great photos, not surprising from the Japanese. for a semi-translation (Douglas Adams inspired) try this: open up that link, copy the URL, open up this link: world.altavista.com/and choose the http/ web page translation, paste your URL there and scroll to Japanese to English, it's a rough translation but you can get the drift. (btw this will work for most foreign web pages if you know what you need to translate) great site, i'm adding it to favs, thanks!! KD

That's a great site Kim!! To think that someone picked up a dirty old rock and made a thing of beauty out of it is awe inspiring!! KD gave you an idea of how to translate the site. and here's mine. I don't know what version of Windows you're running but I have XP Home Edition. All I do is right click on what I want translated, click on "Translate to English" , a new window opens up and it's all in English. Perty nifty if you ask me. Thanks for the link,,,,,,,,,,, Tom

I do a lot of overseas work with designers. I had to download a lot of language translators. Mine kick in automatically. I now use XP, and windows has downloads for almost all the languages. When I had 95, and 98, I had to manually download the translators and from there they kicked in automatically.

I can see the pics and the captions. It asks for me to download something but wants a disc to be placed in the CD drive. I bypass that and there are the pics. I have windows XP. Am I seeing everything or is there text missing? LOVE the pics!

That was the first thing I saw! How weird is it for both of us to see a whale smoking a stogie? I'd say not too weird since we have been known to be weird at times! Or how weird is it to see a whole with a stogie hanging out of his mouth? Now THAT is weird! llana

I do not know about a cetacean, but it does remind me of back when I was 17. We all did some smoking, some shrooms, and there she was. Beautiful, blond, blue eyes, Oh, Yeah! Of course the next mornin, with the sun just coming over the washed up kelp, was this sea creature. The rolls remind mo of the first glimpse of her back, her hair full of seaweed and matted with miscelaneous sticks of wood and shells. Her blue eyes were replaced with fiery red dialated pupils. Her breath was like a backed up toilet. SHe asked me if I meant everything I had said last night. I didn't want to say anything but the whale with the cigar. We went too far. I couldn't hold back! It is not a whale with a cigar, it is a beached sea monster. Her name is Linda and she haunts my peaceful sleep to this day. I wake up in sweats, my head rings, the electricals are laughing, "Did you mean all those things YOU said last night?" That is not a cigar, that could be a moray of things. Oiy, I tear my shirt!
