You should sign up and join us. There are plans for a tumbler somewhere in this forum. Used tumblers, caveat emptor. They are being sold for a reason. You want good tumbling? Get a loretone, or Thumblers. They are also easy to make. PVC piping makes good bbls.

I couldn't find the file on this forum, however I did a quick search using homemade tumbler I found plans for an horizontal, diagonal, and vibratory tumbler. On the same search, I found plans for a sphere cutter, flat lap, and a diamond saw. Welcome aboard. I hope you choose to build one rather than purchase one. You will save money, and get a better machine.

Please don't say that, I may get a used one off someone on this site.... Gonna have to wait a year or two till dad builds me one now

I would trust someone from here, especially from a 'timer. I never sell my equipment unless it is for someone I know will get the use out of it I might not. Do not despair. I wouldn't get one from a stranger however.

If you are just starting out you could start with a smaller one. Mine is a Lortone 3A, it comes with one barrel for a little over $60.00 new. I don't remember how much the other barrels are, I bought 3 other barrels. I use one for the 60/90 and 120/220 grit, second one for the 500 and Tripoli, the third for 1000 grit and the fourth for polish if you don't do all of those steps you could probably get by with only buying two more barrels. I clean my stones and barrels out between grit tumbles with borax. Tami
