Its been quite a long time since I did some, but last Sunday I placed two barrels on the roll with a) Blue Lace Agate b) Blue and Green Aventurine in them at 600 (I'd previously shut them down whilst I did the roof last year). So its Saturday the morrow (well now actually but its only 5am so thats a wait) - and I cant wait for Sunday!!!! I'm convinced these Blue Lace samples in particular will be 100% perfect when they are done with. I find its always great when they get stuck in the barrel marked "Final Polish" and theres only a few days to go. Gimmme Gimmeee Gimmeeee Doubtless the Aventurines will be a bit pitted - but I'm going to do my best with them. Photos are in order. Cant wait.

whilst. the morrow.
In my next life I want to have a British education.
You guys always sound either brilliant and erudite, or incredibly hilarious. I'd take either.

LOL puppie, You dont want a "british" education - if you got it - then you'd be moving backwards in time.

Hi Andy,
I've been wondering what you've been up to. I can't wait to see those pics.
I always hate the last 3 days or so of polish. You'll be lying in bed tring to sleep, but you can't! All you can think about is how those beauties are gonna turn out.
Tossing and turning........ Tossing and turning........ Tossing and turning........ Tossing and turning............... Cannnnnnnnnn't...... Sleeeeeeeeeeppppppppp.....................

Hi James - yeah - been around here all the time, just no rocks on the go for a while - until now. I see youve been posting the usual HQ envious pics of some fantastic finished samples. Nice one (Fresh Batch of Polished Gems). These blue lace bits are going to shine 100% aswell - not as much as you've done but i'm being very very careful with them. Quite hard to catch the shine on blue lace in a photo with it being so light pale, but i'll do my best. Tick tock - 24 hours to go then they move over to the Final Polish - think i'll put them in Tin Oxide and skip a Cerium altogether, that goes for the Aventurine too.

Andy, it don't matter, any of them commonwealth type countries make us all sound like hoosiers. Is that a relatively PC and non-offensive way to say rednecks?
Even those without a vocabulary get that amazing polish from the accent.

Andy I'm 60 years old and have been tumbling for a while now but I still get the gitters waiting for my little babies to come out of the womb!! It's really like you've taken that dirty old, jagged faced rock, waited through the gestation period for months and months and finally,,,,,,,It's reborn a thing of beauty!!! Tom
