OK here is one that has bothered me for years Why are things sent by boat called CARGO and things sent by vehicle called SHIPMENT?

Answer: Products have been shipped by ship since the beginning of the first boat. Those were the original "shipments." Then the US Post Office got involved, and true to form, they screwed everything up, and made everything basackwards. Condor

why is the line i pick to wait in at the supermarket, the bank, thruway toll, department of motor vehicles, etc. always turns out to be the SLOWEST line?
