*L* I'm kind of a gym rat but diet is my downfall. Why does everything that tastes good have to be bad for ya *L*? Do lots of hiking at the ranch as well as ranch chores ( chopping wood fixing fences, weed wacking etc) and when at the other house hit the gym three days a week where I lift weights use the various machines and work out on the speed bag and heavy bags. Then all that exercise makes me hungry and I go load up on crap I shouldn't be eating and my belly just gets bigger *sigh* Life is cruel!.....mel

Apparently I turn over in my sleep about 10 times per night. Thats about it - oh apart from climbing the stairs to get to the bed in the first place. I think i'd better improve this situation. Mark

After what I posted earlier in this thread I should be ashamed to tell this here but honesty is good for the soul so: When it comes to exercise I follow the Mark Twain approach. He said something along the lines of "Whenever the mood to exercise strikes me I lay down until the feeling passes." ;D
Now if turning the pages of a good book or solving an intriguing logic puzzle counts as exercise, I am truly an Olympian!
I hate to exercise. But my husband exercises faithfully at the 'Y" and here at home on some neat equipment so if we are truly soulmates (and at 35 years come August 11th we probably are) I figure he's pulling the weights for both of us. ;D

I love to exercise. Don't care for the gym at all but get me outside, hiking and smelling the flowers and listening to the birds.. I could do that all day everyday. Before, children and marriage I was always out on my rollerblades, or walking, or dancing. I didn't have a car and didn't need one. But, I gained a dreadful 60lb when I was pregnant with my daughter and I still need to lose about 50! Drives me nuts most of the time. I'm a vegetarian and thought that not eating all that fatty meat would make a difference but my body is one heck of a stubborn atom. Sheesh. But, I do love exercising as long as I'm outside doing it. The smelly, sweaty gym doesn't do much for me. I love Yoga as well. Times just seem so busy with little ones that it's hard to get out there as much as I'd like. Oh well.. it'll come again.. right now my children are a ton of fun as well and getting to that fun age of hiking and camping and bike riding as well. T.
