Hi all, I'm trying to get my specimen rocks and cabs a little more organized and since I had these laid out I thought I'd take a pic of them. When Bearcreek said to put aside a cab a week and then check your progress in a year, he was on to something. While laying these out, I was comparing the latest cabs to some of the first ones and man, big difference. I've posted most of these as individuals so here they are collectively. Thanks for looking.

I think there are 79 plus the one on the coffee table and I've given away probably between 15-20. I hope to double this amount soon and start selling some of them. John, those blues are the lapis.

Hey Kim, I just gotta figure out the best way to market them. ebay is pretty much flooded with cabs so I'm looking for an outlet.

I just spent the day running around to local jewelry retailers asking about local jewlers, a few of them may be taking some pieces off my hands, but one of the best tips I got was to check out places that give metalworking classes, their students always need material to work with...

You're right Cal, and I plan on having even more fun coming up shortly, so be on the lookout for a big infusion of cabs soon.

Wow Ed, that's quite an amazing spread! I see many I recognise from earlier posts and some I have never seen. I particularly like the mook looking one near the lower right hand corner. I also noticed the squareish guadalupe jasper I don't thinl I've seen: awesone! I agree on looking for an outlet for cabs. Ebay seems too flooded. I was actually thinking of getting some silversmithing supplies this summer and making some jewelery (but wife says: no big torch in the garage) and seeing how that goes. I still feel like I need to work on my cabbing abilities more until then.
Rallyrocks, glad to hear you are going to local jewelers. That's great news. I hope that takes off. Expanding on that idea, you may want to check out the colleges and junior colleges where they have classes.

Having seen them in person, the pictures hardly do these justice, those are some really fine looking cabs there Ed! Mine look rushed and clumsy in comparison, visiting and seeing what you've done has raised the bar for me!

Hey Pete, thanks for the compliment. It was great to finally meet you in person. From what I've seen of your work, I'd say you've got a great head start into mastering this craft.
