naa all i can tell ya is its soft and waxy feeling and when ya grind it - it makes a kinda white mud ------ after that i call it a cool stone haha

serpentine is the name ,williamsite or bowenite so called "precious serpentine " has oft been mistaken for jade or deliberately sold as jade by the unscrupulous. gemmaster

after you said that gem it does grind like jade but alittle softer makes the same paste as you go --- it a very cool rock and cookies lucky to have found it ------thanks all
