the trouble with having a lot of dop sticks, is that it takes a while to get "a batch" through to final polish. but here is what i've been doing lately, i'd posted the Serbian Chrysoprase that Zotika sent me before, but i finally finished the backs: NMRocks sent me a slab of Prudent Man Agate, very pretty stuff: close up of the 40mm x 30mm piece, gonna take a lot of wire for this puppy, susan: she also sent me a slab of Mex Lace, the largest one fell off the stick, so i have one more to do: here is another set of earrings out of the Picasso Marble Steve Holmes sent me: and a set of "lovers pendants" that were too big for earrings: here is a piece of Chrysocolla (top) i got from Arkierockhound ((Trish)...where has she been by the way?)) a piece of Larvakite i got from Slim (haven't seen him lately either?) and a piece of Larsenite i got last October from an eBay auction. and yes, you can see the fracture in the Chrysocolla, it is a cabogone and in line for the "do over" pile...it broke coming off the dop stick, don't you hate that? lastly a close up of that Larvakite, it is a very chatoyant stone. must do more!!! whew!!! sorry for the big download, but thanks for looking!!!! KD

KD - I like them all - I'm very partial to the rounds... like the small Prudent Man round and the 2 Lace rounds. of course, the rest are gorgeous, too...the Chrysoprase...I also love the Picasso... yummy! How does one choose? S

Very delicioius. Mmm. I lake them all. That picaso marble realy surprised me. I like it a lot. Nice shine on chrysoprase, by the way. It looks to me that I already saw that chrysoprase somewhere.

i had to look it up, but yes, Kim, it's called Gary Green and it supposedly is petrified swamp bog. i spelled it incorrectly, you also have the right spelling, there is a Larsenite, but it ain't the same stuff.
thanks,
KD

Gary Green, Larsonite and petrified Nevada Swap bog are pretty much the same animal. They are all different locals within a few miles of each other, owned by a couple different people. And old timers pulled the ego trip like with all the owyhee jaspers. Well not all, a good example would be the Mccdermit, Chicken track, diaster peak, and i want to say Arroyo picture jaspers all are the same animal within visual range of the next, maybe with the slightest difference. But i have cut many that the only way to tell them apart was when they were rough.

Nice work KD...first time I've seen pics of that Prudent Man Agate cabbed...really cool. That first set of Picasso looks like an x-ray of the Pelvic region, lungs and veins...really like those too. But that Chrysopase is totally sweeeet...oh heck...I like em' all. Steve
