I have a 250 pound work bench with a Formica top, could I just tape the Lot-o tumbler to the work bench?

If you do mount the unit on that work bench it might be wise to mount in a corner of the bench where there is more support rather then on a side or toward the center. In mu humble opinion I wouldn't mount it anywhere but where the mfg.suggest which in this case is on a concrete floor or a series of concrete blocks? ? The wood bench may "dampen" the needed vibration needed to get the full performance the unit was designed to deliver??? Dunno connrock

I agree with Connrock
Just think what is happeng here , the vibe has to shake (Vibrate) This has to be against something held solid so it can move its contents .
Put it on a bench OK as long as it is an a large concrete slab/ Block /kerb stone to give this concentrated movement to the bottle and rocks within it
If the machine is on a frame of steel or can move the power to vibrate will be absorbed in movement of the unit
This is as I see it please correct me if im wrong ,
