Beautiful polish, very nice stuff. You mentioned the ones that came out "crappy." You didn't ask for suggestions, but I've been using a vibe for a long time and really, to get the best results you do best to tumble them in a barrel first to get a decent shape and grind out the irregularities. If you try that they may not be crappy at all once they are finished. In my experience, it is super easy to get things to polish in the vibe, and that can sometimes be a problem because it encourages you to move ahead with stuff that really would look better with more shaping, even though it will polish the way it is. I have a feeling your jasper-agate would look good if you ground on it more.

I'd have to agree, there's quite a few pieces that look like they could have used more shaping in the first stage. You sure got an excellent shine tho and do have some really nice pieces in there. For a first load, I'd say you did really well.

I love that Moss in the second to last pic. I also agree that a little more shaping would have helped the Jasper you were not thrilled with. Killer shine though!

Wow those driveway rocks are great. Rock company must have raided the Teanaway area for their gravel....Mel

I'll probably run the crappy ones again in my next batch, just use them whenever I need filler.
The driveway rock was picked up over two years as a cable installer. Several hundred driveways to find those few rock (although I do have some more softer ones and a giant piece of orange jasper that was behind an apartment building).

Too many pics? We love pics, never enough. Those look great, you got the shine nailed. I always run mine in the coarse grit for three days, re-charge and run in fresh coarse for three more days.

thats a great first batch man i remember mine haha we would have both laughed at it didnt even get a shine so your way ahead of the game--- extra fresh run in coarse prob woulda got rid of alittle more on the edges of some of them -- dont be afraid to cull them --- take the ones with nice shape out and rerun the rest in coarse again till they match shape wize some are gonna be harder and take longer to shape nice -- but all and all a very nice job WTG
I wish i couild get my hands on the carneilian i have but when i left jersey i stored it didnt have the room -- you have some real nice color there i love the stuff
and somebody just said it NEVER too many pics haha

Really nice first batch. I can't believe you have moss agate for driveway stone. That is just so wrong. LOL The montana's are really nice and that mule head is perfect.
