Ok I know I saw the topic somewhere....but I have been searching the last few days in my free time trying to find it and have been unsuccessful...
So....
Where do you buy bulk grit? ie.....50+ pounds of the stuff and at what price at this location?
Thanks
Lazy Bum who cant seem to find anything (although he knows it is there) when he needs it on this forum

This may have been covered in the past, but buying 5 - 10# grit got too costly for me with my volume. I do a lot of rough grinding on agate. Check in your area, industrial pages or (?) for Blasting abrasives or grit. In Chattanooga we have one that will sell it in 50# incriments. They only had on hand 54 SIC (silicone carbide) that they broke down out of a 55 gal. barrel for me - 50# @ .90. Postage is the killer for grit. So find someone that you can pick it up from. I was fortunate as I'm there couple of times a month. Just an idea for you to try.

Yes I have called countless numbers of sandblasting places within a 200 mile radius of me (anything further and the gas would be just as expensive as the postage) The cheapest I could find close was $76 for 50lbs. plus postage and or gas..... But the link above is what I was looking for it is about $100 for 50 lbs of 60/90....and thats what I expect to pay....
Thanks again
