I couldnt help it - I had to get some going even tho the garage has reverted to a tip!! Ok - First up - unfinished business from Cher about 2 years ago!!! Lake Superior Agates - the shine isnt quite right so they are off ino polish for a while. Ill take them back to 220 if required. Next - more unfinished business - some rock from James - I havent got the detail of what it is at the mo - can anyone tell me? This is in 80 - a recharge probably the 3rd for the batch. Next up - Ed sent me some WWR rock samples - and they in for the first time today at 80. And here are my scruffy looking barrels on the go Ive got the bug and theres a lot more barrel space, so I'll kick a few more off I think in the days to come. Mark

Don't think I've ever congratulated anyone on being re-bitten by a bug before... <grin> But since you are tumbling again...dunno how close you are to Chesterfield (I remember that you posted a contest for some Blue John, so I'm guessing that you're not far from the Peak district unless that was a special visit), but I'm coming that way in early May. A couple of days in Derbyshire to visit the BF's parents and then down to Paignton from there. If there's anything in particular that you want and isn't easy to get there, and if Customs won't take them away from me, I'd be happy to bring you out a bit more to help fill up those barrels... (I've got clothes and things in Paignton already, so I'll have some extra room/weight available on the way over, without having to sacrifice anything. And the offer stands for anyone who is close to either of those areas as well, just let me know)

That's a really cool tumbler, Mark! I'd love to hear some details on it. Glad to hear you've got the bug again.

"why the board and you did not tumble" (A touch bizarre Mrp) Well - I think that one would not start such a board if one did not tumble rock? the rocks are rolling - Debs is griping about mess in the kitchen - its back to the good old days.

Hey Mark glad to see you're off and tumbling again!
If you don't mind I will explain what a "tip" is to my American friends.
I learned from Jack (Yorkshire) that the "tip" in the UK is what we call the dump or transfer station here in the USA!
Not to worry Mark,,,,,,My tip (rock shop) will beat your tip any day of the week!!! LOL

Ive had a small disaster - one of the barrells has burst. Quite interesting infact from my perspective as I chucked a load of fish tank gravel in it because I only had two chunks of main rock in there to tumble (from Stoner) and needed the filler. I had 3 going and added two more - it is one of the "two more" which has burst. Pics themorrow. Connrock - a tip in the context of my post means "a very untidy mess with which I am displeased" Jack is correct in the general scheme of things. I am certain that when Jack reads this above - he will appreciate that my garage is a complete "tip"

Wow, I don't think I've ever seen any kind of tumbling stuff from you Mark. Glad you're back to it again. Bummer when a tumbler breaks and creates a mess.

It happens. My rotary exploded about two months ago. It was funny, but cleaning up the mess really sucked! ;D
