I've had several Black River agates and others in the vibe for about fifteen days now after having gone through three weeks in 60/90, then four days 120/220 in the vibe, four days 400F vibe and then the CPP. Don't know what's going on. I checked them every day after the first couple of days too. I'm be changing the rocks in the 12lb Thumler's rotary to 120/220 today and go through all the stages there. I'm going to put those BR agates in that one. Hopefully they will come out. Don't know what happened.

First is this a new batch of CCP- and are you sure it's CCP- I once mistook Tripoli for Cerium Oxide- and was so ticked off that my rocks looked the same out of polish as prepolish.. till I realized what I had done. Also 15 days seems like a LONG LONG LONG polish run for a vibe- And are you using a seperate bowl for the polish? I'm not real fimiliar with a vibe but I seem to remember someone having similiar problems with polish- and it turned out to be to little water in the mix- the stuff was drying out and the rocks were just beating the crap out of each other- Hope you figure it out.

Stefan may be barking up the right tree here!
I had some bad CCP and TXP quite a while ago and they both drove me up a wall trying to figure what the heck I was doing wrong.
I was first using the CCP and it wouldn't polish so I ordered the TXP and tried that.No luck!!!!!! I KNEW it was not me but refused to believe that I got screwed on 2 different polishes.
I had about 1/4 teaspoon of Rapid polish and tried it.It worked great and I've been using it ever since.
I've also had bad silicon oxide.I was using 30 grit and it was breaking down in 2 days.I ordered from a different supplier (Miles) and theirs worked they way it's supposed to!
Go Figure.
Good luck and let us know how you make out,,,,,or don't!!! LOL

Sounds like it's time for some good aluminum oxide.
