Howdy folks, well after 90 days or so the jasper from the new place on the Mojave desert is starting to come out of the polish. Actually more colorful than the picture. Does tend to undercut in some areas or sometimes have soft spots and pits but overall, it's nice stuff to work and takes a great polish in the Rockshed AO. Actually, I think it's pretty much the same stuff as that at the old Lavic deposits. I think if I were more serious about it, I'd saw it first and trim out the questionable areas till I just had the best patterns and most consistnet quality and then tumble the slabettes. Bet those would be reall spectacular! Anyway, here's a pic of some of the finished jasper stones from this tumble batch. Thanks for lookin....Mel

Good stuff. Looks similar to what you can find at WWR. As always your shine is outstanding.

Wow! That is some really pretty jasper! As you mentioned, some of those pieces would make really superb slabettes! Very nice shine as well. Thanks for the photo! ' Bill

Great batch. It makes me want to go work the Lavic siding jasper slabs I have.
