hi all im sure somebody here has tried this so im askin for any tips i bought some pin backs from firemountain and since i have so many finished cabs layin around i fig id do some pins with some
do i have to dremal/grind alittle off where im gonna epoxy the pin to on the back of the cabs like to rough it up for some extra holding power? ---- is it worth the extra trouble? ---- and top or bottom where is the best place for the pin lock --does it make a dif?

Hey Sands - If the pin is vertical, I'm guessin' pointy end down. ;D If the pin is horizontal, mount it above the center of the cab - it'll hang better. (The new Rock & Gem was good for something.) If the backs of the cabs are polished, a little roughin' up would certainly help the epoxy . . . only take a few seconds each. These must be cabs you did looonnnggg ago . . . ain't seen a caboJohn in a dog's age! Rich

thanks Rich -- yea iv done acouple here and there but nuttin worth a pic i did acouple stones bout two weeks ago for a lady doin rings i shoulda got some pics i did some montanna agates and a piece of turq she had-- so we traded i did a stone of black aust. jade and she set it in a ring for my daughter it was her b-day
