Before the ice storm clobbered my willow, I made dreamcatchers. It will be a year before I can make more I think. These are a couple I made- One for my grandson and one for my son. I use craft wire- copper is my fav - and gemstones, various ones. Each has a meaning. As my son is a hothead that doesn't sleep well, his is for patience and peace lol! My grandson was having nightmares so his is mainly protective- The hoops are from my willow. Dove feathers - real ones- no Wallyworld stuff. Takes a bit of time- 4-6 hours depending on how well my fingers work that day. I like em. My grandson's My son's - he got a double dose lol!

Very nice KR. Well made and looks like they should catch a bundle of those bad dreams. Daniel

That's a great idea! I bet pheasant feathers would catch all the colors of the rocks----any special reason why you used dove feathers? Just curious--- Nona

Doves are my favorite birds- Mourning doves in particular because they sing to me each day I went with the dove feathers because I knew they were real- not dyed or anything. There is a lady who raises them so fresh supply always available just from where they molt. I have my sister collecting her rooster feathers for me- and yeah I'd use pheasant as long as I know they are real and not dyed and junk. There is only a Wallyworld and a very small Michaels in my area to choose from. Their feathers are not worth buying. So many other bird feathers are prohibited so unless I just stumble upon them, I am limited.
