Well, I finally ventured into the world of silver setting some of my cabs. I joined the local club and they offer classes for $5 for a 6 hour class(2 days, 3 hours each) plus the cost of the silver, which was around $4. I'm not quite hooked yet, but it's nice to know I can do it if I want to. At this point, it's pretty time consuming and I don't have much time these days.

Anyway, here's the first one, a Guadalupe poppy jasper

And my second one, a Condor agate.

To me, that is the hardest part. You did a great job and you are right, it is time consuming. Ken

Thanks everyone. My sister in law claimed the poppy jasper and my wife claimed the Condor. The next class is in two weeks and we're going to make a ring, so I guess my wife will get a matching ring with this cab.

Harley, I'm sure you would be great at working with silver, your knapping skills are the best I've seen, so I know you work well with your hands.
