Hello, I've been looking for something that would work for one of my intarsia pieces so it could be used as a night light and for possible future displays. Yesterday at our local rock show, my wife found the perfect acrylic stand with a little light behind it. The intarsia is about 4.5" X 4.5" and is made out of Brazilian agate and midnight lace obsidian with a petrified wood frame. The intarsia on the lighted stand: The nifty little acrylic stand with light: OK, this one is for Toad who asked what it looked like when not back lit: Thanks for looking.

Wow! You will have to use this in the display case next time. The backlighting changes this one completely. Woody

That is a real beautiful intarsia! Your work is always so impressive! I wonder if you can make a stand like that. Has anyone tried to heat and bend the ends like that? Just wondering how hard it would be to make. Fran

Looks great - what does the piece look like not back-lit?

WOW! The intarsia itself is jaw dropper but the frame, being made of PET wood, is the cherry on the cake!

Thanks for the compliments!
Fran: You could probably make a stand like that, but would it be worth it for the price savings? This one was $8 at a rock show (they had a bigger one for $10) and you could probably find them cheaper online.
Lee: Sorry I missed you at our show. I was there all day Saturday and met up with Dan (HPD) and wife, Becky. We must've been in the kitchen swapping rocks/cabs. I understand you did visit with Woody though.
