In looking at what you are doing to these stones, I gasp, kneel, and say that I am a mere fingerpainter compared to the mastery of art displayed on this thread.
I am in awe.

I got the Fischer stone from Philip Stephenson in Idaho, he runs rare rocks and gems. It is treated Snake Skin agate. I have another cab of it in process now.
I did treat the Rhodochrosite with Red Hot Stuff from the back prior to dopping it. I do this to prevent fracture at the weaker light colored interfaces in the stone. The glue soaks into these areas and helps stabilize it.

Pure perfection and beauty beyond words!
All of them are like that, but that Lapis has such a special shape! It looks like flowing.

Thank you all for the kind comments. Many of these cabs are part of a new case I'm working on. It will contain 30 cabs of mixed materials. Since I will only have one agate and jasper, it has led me to work many new materials, which is very exciting. Stay tuned, I have more to come.

Those cabachons are just breath taking, no way to pick a favorite. Each one a masterpiece in its own right. Wow wow wow. I can only dream to cab like that one day.

I thought I'd be cute and say "marra mamba -- mama mia!" But the rest of these have left me speechless and drooling. I like the dendritic opalite because it looks like a fireworks display where the sparks are all black.
Cool stuff.

you're designs are as much a part of each stone as the pattern itself. thanks for the ideas, and push in new directions. Debby and Tom
