It sure does suck getting clouds reflecting in the photos huh? LOL, quite a polish on those little beauties!

I've been looking at all your fire agates, they're all nice. I hate taking photos of fire agates.

WOW, fire agates are your thing, you really know how to work and capture the fire in them! I just don't have the patience, I love seeing how beautiful these can be in the hands of an expert.

Christopher, In an earlier post, you said you sell fire opals. Can you list what grade and prices ?? Thanks!
Got a question too... <g> what kind of dop stick is that we can see in the photos? I don't think I've ever seen one like that before..
Thanks again, Phil

Phil, The dops you see in my photos come from www.cabstarpro.com. The cost about $40 for a set of six different head sizes. I like them because they have two little holes drilled in through the bottom of the dop head that will let acetone or water in to desolve the glue used to dop. I use super glue on most of my stones and wood glue for my opals. Makes things much easier. I just put my finished stone in the approriate solvent for a couple of hours and they come right off. A little cleaning, finish the back and I am done. If you click the banner at the end of my converstations it will take you to my sales post. If you scroll through them you will find a post for Mexican Fire Opal rough and Fire Agate Rough. Those include good cuttable commercial grade stones. I also have rough in both materials that is very high grade premium rough that I sell by piece by request. I have large golfball size pieces of Mexican Opal Canterra rough and Royal Peacock Fire Agate rough. I pretty much have the full spectrum of rough. PM me what you are looking for and I will try and round up some material per your request and send you some photos and then we can work on a price we both like.

Thank you Krock
Just cut it Sitnwrap if you mess it up....well....at least you learned or buy some low grade stuff that you can learn on. Sometimes you find hidden gems in the low grade unwindowed material.

Phil, The dops you see in my photos come from www.cabstarpro.com. The cost about $40 for a set of six different head sizes. -snip- Thanks, As I usually dop up 40 or 50 stones to be cabbed at a time, I think I'll have to stay with my wooden dops.... If you click the banner at the end of my converstations it will take you to my sales post. If you scroll through them -snip- PM me what you are looking for and I will try and round up some material per your request and send you some photos and then we can work on a price we both like. thanks again.... That takes me to your craigslist posts... lots postings to sort thru... I don't know what I want, I've never done FA before, so will probably just buy some low grade local material to play with for awhile.... There's a rock shop down the road that has boxes full of small mexican FA pretty cheap. Sounds like what you have I don't want to learn on.... Phil
