I have never been able to get a batch of aventurine to tumble the way I had hoped them to tumble but this batch comes pretty close! Towards the end, I didn't have enough stone, even with pellets in the load. I had received some softer rocks from Catskillrocks and put them in the batch., thinking they would be softer and not take a shine but aide the Aventurine. Well, they all came out well! Thanks for looking! Fran

You got a real nice shine on that aventurine, Fran - better than I've ever gotten! What polish did you use, and for how long?

Tom, if I remember correctly, I used tin oxide and ran them in polish for 3 weeks. It had about 60% pellets and tile spacers in there. I put the rocks in first, filled the water to just below the top rocks, then added the filler and the polish. Really seemed like there was not enough water but it worked better than it has in the past. You can see the normal layering but they are smooth. Fran

Oh Fran I love the Peach Aventurine. You got a great shine on them, now are you going to wrap some of them?

They are lovely--I've never tumbled aventurine, it may be time to try.
Nice uniformity, great color, super shine--you got it all!
