these two are my favorites from my first batch. i think they turned out so well because they were so hard that the other rocks couldnt possibly scratch them lol. i will post a couple more once i find camera cord Attachments:

Looks like a carnelian. Very hard material and it takes a LONG time in the rough stage to get it to a point that it can move on. My last group of Carnelian ran for 12 weeks in the rough stage before they were ready to move forward. It is so hard to wait! Keep up the great work and you will enjoy each batch even more than the last! Fran

well since then i have put in another batch of all carnelian. i check every 5 days to see if there are any ready. to my frustration i find that some have hardly changed, and others have been grinded down to a crystal center. am i correct in assuming that the darker carnelians take much longer, and do not have a crystal center. and that the lighter colored carnelians wear quicker and have the crystal center. i ask because i seem to end up with alot of dark ones and crystal centers.
