Can you cut jet (coal) using mineral oil as the coolant, or do you have to use water? Maybe I should just use a hacksaw.

I wish I could help. Maybe someone will Chime in soon. Seems like Zotika had posted some Jet he had worked on over a year ago. He is not on here much but Maybe Adrian will remember how he worked that stone and what he could use on it. Fran

I would not use oil, I think jet would absorb it.

As Lee said , that would be the only concern, i can think of . Still don`t think it would effect it much at all . probably will turn your oil black . have`nt cut any myself .
