It's a new material I found a few years ago and as of yet haven't named it. I will have it identified before Quartzsite.

It is dolimite like. I had someone test it and said it had quartz in it. I am waiting for a second, more definate opinion. There are countless patterns and colors. To anyone's knowledge, does dolomite ever form with quartz?

Yes it does form with quartz , and does limestone , and i don`t mean calcite , which does form with them too . I sent donnie a nice example of the "picture dolomite" from here, it is in cabochons thread , ithink , a couple weeks ago , she showed a bunch of cuts , of various material .

Nice piece Brent. I love the tree in the slab. The cabs are quite nice too.

Those are great looking pieces, Brent. Dolomite-type rock ... interesting. (My only experience with dolomite is from the gardening aspect. I used it on my lawn. ) Cool pieces, Brent!
