This one is Red Flower Owyhee Jasper. Kabamba Graveyard Point Plume. Tiffany Stone Script Stone. It may have other names. Royal Imperial Jasper Brazilian (Pirhana) Brazilian St Johns Flower Agate. I must have looked at 20 different slabs of this material from multiple dealers and ALL of it had small fractures throughout that didn't show up until the slab was fully dried out. What a disapointing material! Mexican Flame Agate A large FLAWLESS Pertified wood! A rare and interesting slab. It is called Skull Creek Jasper. It is from Oregon and it is actually a thunder egg with this interior. The dealer showed me a smaller thunder egg half that exhibited the usual rind before I was convinced that it truly was a thunder egg. Bob

Great selection! All my St. Johns material is very old stuff and it has a lot of fractures too. I seem to remember that the folks at Greer's Milky Ranch by Petrified forest, where I bought mine, said that the site had been blasted at one time. Whatever, it's sure hard to get a decent clear spot for a cab and the stuff is a real blade breaker too as sometimes it breaks when being sawed. Love that last specimen. Kind of reminds me of Spiderweb Jasper colorwise, but a bit different in pattern.....Mel

All very nice material. I love the flying ghost in the second Brazilian. A real Halloween slab. I'd polish that one as is, and display it. Don

Nice material. Missed Madras this year. The Skull Creek Jasper is interesting because I have about a dozen of these Tundereggs. They are rather red in color spiderweb matrix on the exterior and mostly clear to white banding in the center. Some of them weigh close to twenty pounds. They came to me in a collection given to me years ago. I had heard the name but have forgotten it like a lot of names these days. If someone is interested in one of these eggs give me a PM.

Bob - Yeah the Skull Creek Jasper - Actually is a Thunderegg - The Thundereggs are known as Skull Springs or also seen on the market as Harper or Harper Butte. They come in red/orange and then once in awhile you'll see black colored ones. Nice eggs commonly filled with hydrothermal agate. Larry Kribbs of Bend, Oregon had the claim on these for several years and when he sold them at shows he called them DD10 Eggs - It was short for his business name as Desert Dog Mining. Larry was a great guy and owned many claims. I think most of the Thundereggs he's sold off and last I knew he was chasing Sunstone.

;DWho had the Biggs? I don't recall seeing any one I know or any dealer for that matter with that much quantity (at the show). Curious where it's coming from as I know all the mine owners - Unless he stopped by and bought it from the claims?
