I NEVER go crazy. I have always thought that I was the grounded one in my family...but, today I got pushed too far. We have had this maniac foreign Ice cream lady blaze by us 3 times daily since summer started. We live on a corner lot and she goes up the coldesac and then blows threw the stop sign, while on her cell phone, at about 20mph. She comes whipping around the corner so fast while chatting on her phone that when we hear her we grab our kids and pull them into the driveway. Patrick has been so upset and over the last couple of months I kept saying "Chill, let's just video tape her and report her". He reluctantly agreed but she drives too fast to get the camera out in time. I lost it today and ran right out in front of her and yelled "STOP!". I screamed to her that she was putting my children's life in danger and that if she didn't get off her cell phone and start stopping at the stop signs, then I would call the police. She couldn't even speak English to me. She put her hands in the air and said "Ok, ok, sorry, very sorry"
I'm still angry right now. My children will never ever ever ever get ice cream from her. Still want to report her but got to get that video....

Check to see if she has a permit and licensees in the state, and county Heath food handlers card. Complain to DMV. it work more often then you think.

Sheriff's amazingly responsive here. I'd call the cops and have an official complaint filed. They should then investigate or at least assign a patrol officer to check this person out or stake out your neighborhood a bit. Of course law enforcement is very high quality here in Texas. Back in California the cops were friggin useless. Don't know how they are where you live...Mel

When she drives by each day, keep track of the time. and When you go out side bring the camera with you every time.

Got to sometimes, there are alot of idiots out there with no regards for human lives anymore!!! My uncle stopped a guy once on his block(kids outside playing)..he came up to the car grabbed him and dragged him through the drivers side window and chewed his ass out and threw him back into the car.. The guy just turned white started his car and putted away, very slow!!! I still laugh my butt off over that sight!
Just get her license number and turn her in!

I have a similar situation were I live. I live by the shore in NJ. It is your typical small town it is only about five blocks long and five blocks deep. The town even has a main street and a small church with a steeple. How ever in the summer the town becomes anything but typical as it being an ocean front community there are many seasonal occupants who come to their summer houses here on the shore to relax and have some fun. Unfortunately their idea of having fun differs from those of the year rounders such as myself. You see these summer folks have some of the most spoiled rotten kids you would ever have the misfortune of knowing. These rich spoiled brats drive their fancy sports cars with no regard for the safety of anyone. They do not care about the fines that they receive because to them those fines are only looked upon as the cost of having some summer time fun. Last summer when the cost of this so called summertime fun almost led to the injury of a small child crossing the street a few of us year rounders took it upon ourselves to increase the cost of having this so called summertime fun. Before the police arrived this ahole was pulled out of his convertible by his ears (he being above the law was not wearing his seat belt) and was given a very painful lesson in defensive driving. He was also advised that this will be the cost of having this type of summertime fun in the future. I am happy to say that this years summer time invasion has gone without incident or injury HEH HEH HEH

Krystee, I am so sorry you have had to deal with this. But I must say.....the words "maniac foreign ice cream lady" did make me chuckle momentarily. Then the thought of you barreling out there directly in front of her and giving her what for....I really wanted to send you a loud "WOOHOOO! ATTA GIRL!!!" LOL
I hope you got the issue taken care of and kudos to you for keeping the neighborhood kids (including yours) safe.
Shannon
PS-We have a couple of ice cream trucks that drive by the animal shelter where I work. They have learned that if they just park in a parking spot out front, all of us adult "kids" will come running out for ice cream. One of my staff members even chased the truck down the road, got her ice cream and then had the ice cream man give her a ride back LOL.

Wow on the way home from work todaythere was a big 2 ton box truck and a 1 ton delivery van going at it, fighting for the space directly behind me. The big one almost rear ended me. The smaller van ended up cutting in front of him, stopped, the driver jumped out, ran to the other truck and started punching the driver. I dialed 911 and kept driving. Some people shouldn't drive.

LOL!!! I love the comments here!!! Some of them made my eyes water due to excessive laughter!!! Guess what?!?!?!? Miss non English speaking ice cream lady has not been back in 48 hours! I'm pretty small, shorter than my kids, but..... I think I might have scared her! Imagine that!!! I've never even scared a squirrel, they walk right up on my patio and have parked themselves right underneath my chair before, while I'm in it! I feel a little bit empowered right now. I hope she stays away, I don't really know what kind of business she was trying to run.... if you drive that fast how can a child ever get their piggy bank open and count out the change and get to the street in time anyway? My next door neighbor witnessed my "Crazy" and he laughed at me and said, "Never woulda thunk it, but I'll make sure I never p!ss you off!" I laughed but I was secretly embarrassed too ~Krystee

I wouldn't be embarrassed. Not like you pulled a gun on her. Sometimes people need a talking to.

Yep, I agree with the above...you should not even need a video of it. That kinda crap used to make me mad all the time, call the health board, call the sherrifs office, and if you have to just call every day,
there was a guy who used to complain all the time about people driving 20 miles an hour down his street, someone actually made a deal about his complaints, so he made a video tape of what hitting a kids bike at 20 miles an hour would do to it.....
call and complain, its their JOB to watch the vehicle long enough to get their own proof....and they will....

Way to go Krystee, I for one am proud of you for getting involved. If you ever see her again, please call the police and report her. They will watch for her, I don't want you to get hurt trying to stop her, but that said, I'm thrilled with your spunk.

HA! Get this, you're gonna be shocked!!! She came back today, just shy of 72 hours. She went up and came down the culdesac, stopped at the stopsign and then pushed max 5mph driving past our driveway. She had both hands on the wheel, creeping and looked straight ahead, never turning her head once to look in our driveway. I wanted to yell "Thank You" but my jaw was hitting the ground! DANG!!! She actually listened to me! Maybe she was scared of me? How cool is that?!?!?! Maybe one person can make a difference?....
