Yesterday we started cutting some new material that we picked up in Nipomo. Blue Goldstone... Neat stuff More laguna's But this is the best of all Native Copper.... This makes such beautiful cabochons. If you wire wrap it in copper...... OMG !!! I will add some cabs so you can see. Its not hard to work at all, but you may need to stabilize some of the slabs. You don't have to do anything special while cabbing them... Ralph does it like any other rock..OH this we didn't get in Nipomo, lol Here is just one cab and one wire wrap to give you an idea. thank you.......... i have many more slabs of this in different colors. I just picked this one to start. mary ann

that copper in basalt comes from michigan , well most of it, glaciers brought some to Illinois, likely other states around here ,cool stuff

this slab is actually copper in epidote.. I have some beautiful slabs in other colors of background. Kingston Mine has the brick red. Its fun to work. mary ann
