Had a couple of hours to play today so I did a little slicing on some cabbing material. I like the new blade a lot! Baranca mk303 just walks through the rocks with no problems. Attachments:

I lost track, what size blade is this?
I love my 303C 10 x .040 that I run on my LS10, and have been thinking about getting a 12 x .065 for my LS12 because I am not happy with the MK 301 I have on there now.
I have been thinking about getting a 303C 10 x .050 for a (new to me) Covington trim saw I just bought.
From my experience, the 303 blades are pretty good. I get good prices to from jsgems.

Probably no reason to go over .040" thick for slabbing, that way you lose less material in your cuts and less mud in the saw.

Especially if there is also a power feed involved. But this is my 10" trim saw, wher eI not only trim out shapes, but make slabbetts and hand feed odd-shaped rough. I abuse the heck out of the blade, and sometimes evencut chunks in half so they fit in the LS10 or LS12 vise. I have at times rolled the stone on the blade to get 5" deep cuts. I got plenty of material, but I have fewer $50 bills for good 10" blades. .050" seems better for the particular application.
