A bit overwhelmed for the last few weeks with non-stone stuff, like fixing up a bunch of furniture and buying a new car, but I hope we're back on track now. Opened some nice geodes this weekend. This is the first one we picked up. India Blackskin Agate, right?

Thanks. I've had to sell/swap most of it uncut over the years to raise funds and make space but I'm glad I found a few holdbacks for my own collection. I sold probably 200 lbs of it from an estate before 2000 or so as an unknown nodule or maybe wrongly marked as Montana Agate, which shows how little I knew about it! But at a couple bucks a pound, the folks who picked it up always seemed happy and now that I've opened a few, I see why.

It looks like Madagascar dendritic agate. I say that because I just bought some and it looks identical. Tim

Tim, if that's a new material from Madagascar, it can't be. This is from my estate material. I got it around 1991 or so. Most of it would have been collected long before then.
