I did a bunch but I haven't taken pictures of all of them. These I just thought were kind of neat! This was the last one I cut. Just a little black rock, not much of anything to look at but I thought, what the heck might as well cut it anyway! I jumped up & down when I saw this one. Such an ugly rock but when I cut it - soooo cool! This one has some pits & stuff but has such possibilities! Anyway I did a bunch of preforms & such just got tired of taking pictures. I am looking forward to polishing up some preforms of a slab of Mary Ellen jasper I recently got too! That was some tough stuff to cut!

Insane plume is an understatement! What's the 1st one? Rhodochrosite?

No, didn't know, Roller. Although after a few cuts like that you would think I would at least suspect it!

My sentiments exactly, Roller!!! Yeah, I do love those plumes. I was looking at some slabs that had plumes like that in the, wanting some but not willing to pay the price! Imagine my delight when that ugly old rock yielded such a delightful surprise! Such a wonderful combination of moss & plumes. Now I just need to come up with a way to make the best of both worlds!

Who'd a thunk that plain black rock was rhodocrosite ? And the plumes in the second are killer.

I just love rhodocrosite and it looks like that is a wonderful piece! The plumes are amazing and the dendrites in the last will make a beautiful cab as well! Great score! Fran
